welcome

Having set up this blog, I thought that I should take a few minutes to introduce myself. I'm 27 years old and I came from the southwest of England, (Dartmoor if you really want to know). I've started this blog so that my friends can check up on me whilst I'm travelling through New Zealand for the next 18 months (or so).

I currently work for a large manufacturing company, ( for another 3 weeks) and I leave for New Zealand in one month exactly. Hopefully whilst I'm away I'm going to have the opportunity to still do some of my favourite hobbies, such as knitting, running, spinning, kayaking and Scottish country dancing. The picture shows one of the projects that I've got to complete before I go!

Fast facts about me:
I'm about to go travelling on the other side of the world.
I can get lost in my home town (it's a village really)

I'd love to learn how to paraglide
I'm scared of heights

I have a degree in molecular biology
I get panicky when I walk into a lab

Hi, Sueby--

Thanks for dropping by my site, and for offering to knit for my blanket project. It's especially sweet of you, seeing as you're about to leave on a trip. The yarn I've asked people to use is worsted weight...I'm not sure if it's called the same thing in England or not, but let me know if that doesn't help. I can find the English sizing on the needles I'm using and see if that helps! Thanks again, and I hope you have a wonderful trip!
