Wacky Wanaka Weekend

Hello everyone, Last Weekend I headed off to Wanaka to spend the day with some lovely people... Jay and Alice.

I met Jay and Alice in Auckland just after Cat and I had the crash. We were feeling bruised, battered, and miserable, and there was a new group of English people in the IEP office. Luckily for us they were lovely, and we've stayed in touch since then...(in fact it's Jay's fault that Cat and I met Becky and shared a flat with her for 4 months!)

Jay and Alice must be saints as they put up with me in Puzzle world, Alice and I conquered the maze, in a very respectable time (thank heavens Alice was there, or I might still be in there - it's all very well getting to the 4 corners, but if you can't remember how to get out again...)

Alice (on the right) is actually taller then I am)

I kept falling over in this room! It was almost as if I was drunk!

We found a corner tower!!! Now if only I could remember how to get out again!

We also spent some time exploring the area around Wanaka, and went for a walk. We found this lovely peaceful clearing overlooking a pond.

It was so still and quiet, and the reflections were amazing

The Sun was shining brightly onto the edge of lake wanaka,

We also walked along the edge of Lake Wanaka, and went to the funkiest cinema that you have ever seen! It's a cross between a drive in and your own living room, and the food they served.... oh my god! It was fabulous! Cinnamon and honey ice cream, jay had a venison and something pizza, and Alice had a chicken brie and cranberry one. There were freshly baked cookies at the intermission. I was beginning to think that I'd died and gone to heaven! It's definitely worth a visit, and except that it was a 200km round trip... I'm definitely going back again!

Do I know these people?
