I will never be the same again!

Looking from Mt Victoria out over wellington
Wellington Cable car
Wellington Botanical Gardens,
From the ferry before leaving wellington
The cook straight ferry, registered in Portsmouth, can you make out the original name of the ferry? (answer's at the bottom of the post)
So I'm still in Christchurch, and I'm job hunting at the moment, well, when I'm not taking in the sites of Christchurch, or having my mind completely broken!

I've moved to a new hostel in Christchurch. This one is larger, but much much cleaner, which is fantastic after my first night in the city! I'm living in a 6 bed dorm, which is fine. There seems to be a fairly high turnover of travellers, people don't seem to stay in Christchurch for too long...I can't think why! This morning after I'd showered and dressed I went back to my dorm to drop off my wash stuff, and to grab my stuff for the day, you know, money, phone, shoes, those kinds of things, and there was a couple in the dorm who were busy getting busy with each other. I think I have been blinded! I was so flustered by this that I wanted to get out of the dorm as soon as possible, that I left behind half the things that I needed! I waited as long as I could, so I ate my breakfast, cleaned all the dishes, put my shoes, in short, I did everything I could to put off going back in there, in the hopes that they would have finished, and gone to shower (or something). unfortunately when I went back, the bed makers hadn't yet reached that room, and the couple were still at it when I went back. I didn't tell them that the bed makers would be there in about 10 minutes, though... let them learn the hard way that sex in shared rooms is not a good idea!

OMG, not nice sharing a dorm with such exhibitionists! Let's hope they were caught by someone in authority and told off.
Apart from that you seem to be having a good time and with a reminder of your Uni days there to make you feel at home.

I was really glad that there wasn't a repeat preformance the next night. The bedmakers had to call the manager in to tell them to please hurry up. The crazy part is, you can hire a double room for almost the same price as a bed in a dorm, it's usually not more then $5 per person extra.
I supose we could have treated them like dogs, and thrown a bucket of cold water at them, that would have sorted things out fairly quickly, but also made a bit of a mess I suppose!
