Back in Auckland

I've been just heartbroken - we lost! How's a girl to cope?

Actually we had a good group at the hostel watching the game, there were about 9 or so English at the hostel during the game, so we took over the whole lounge - it was good to have company as we watched, and the noise as we almost scored that try... well I apologise to everyone else in the hostel that morning who was trying to sleep - it just wasn't going to happen! we were consoled with a very good full English breakfast afterwards, thanks to the people who were so disappointed in the lack of Australians or kiwi's in the final, or fed up of watching the South Africans winning!

We stayed around in Whangarei till Monday, and then headed south to Auckland. In Auckland we stayed with one of our fellow Bunacers, Victoria - Victoria is an absolute star, she put Cat and I up for 2 nights, and proposed a great day trip to Waiheke Island, where we eat fish and chips on the beach, as well as swimming in a beautiful sheltered cove, the water was the warmest that I've come across yet - though still a little colder that I like (I'm a hot tub kind of girl!) After we'd got back from the beach we hooked up with Ian, one of the IEP staff here in Auckland for a few drinks and a couple of games of pool - I am going to definitely improve at this pool lark whilst I'm travelling with Cat... perhaps next time I'm in Auckland Ian won't laugh his arse off as I loose (very badly) to Cat!

Today we are heading towards Thames, and going to drive up and around the Coremandel peninsula to eventually reach hotwater beach and cathedral cove. (I'll get my very own hot tub, built with my own hands on hotwater beach... or at least that's the plan!

Pictures to follow at a later date.

Love to all
Sueby

So good to be hearing from you so often. I can't wait to see the pictures tho, come on suez. I quit the pub last night, tho still have to put it in writing. I have to work another week to give my notice, but it looks like my boss actually took me seriously this time! Finally! Had a meeting with a big boss type today - only brief and with others, but I get excited when I look like I'm doing serious work...!! What a loser! Anyway, missing you! xxx
